big sis, little boredom

Ever since I was a little girl living in Illinois, I've enjoyed creating magical experiences based on my surroundings. Just ask Becky- she and the other neighborhood kids were dragged into my plays, bake sales, newsletter productions, holiday decorating contests, girl band formations.... you get the picture. A passion for engineering creative engagement for my community, by my community, with my community is in my blood.

As an adult, I saw the impacts of bringing people together through their stories and art in my work in Chicago as an intern at a musical festival production company and as a consultant for large-scale association events and member engagement.

When a job with Google came calling in Austin, I packed up my life in 10 days, made the long drive to Texas and put away my winter coat for good. The warmth of the weather and the people of Austin have been my inspiration ever since.

Other than finding and sharing auspiration for atx&o, bumping the Rap Caviar playlist on my way to hip-hop class and spending time with my Google family are what keep me living and breathing.

Fun Fact: I'm allergic to avocados but eat them anyways because it's impossible to have a proper breakfast taco without one.

My love for all things creative started at a very young age. After being caught chopping off my Barbie's hair into trendy new 'do's and using pink lipstick as my go-to writing utensil, I knew by the age of 8 I wanted to be a cosmetologist. I started my beauty career in 2011 in the Midwest and have never looked back!

I traveled to Austin for a weekend to escape the Chicago cold, and it was love at first sight. I was instantly captivated by the city's creative culture (and to-die for queso) and soon took the plunge to begin a new journey in ATX. I am continuously inspired by this city everyday and am excited to share our Austin adventures with you.

Fun Fact: Two things I can't live without: a black velvet choker and WuChow's soup dumplings.
