1. What is your passion and how do you pursue it in ATX? I have a line named after me called Allie Biddle! It mostly consists of illustrated + hand-stitched greeting cards and joyful deskware like gold engraved pencils! I live + work in Denton, a small city just north of Dallas. But I really have a strong connection in Austin, as I began a friendship with @pspapershoppe nearly two years ago! She was in the middle of launching @thepapercraftpantry and asked me to come out and teach embroidery! So with that shop/friend connection and sometimes vending at @renegadecraft Fair, I definitely feel somewhat at home in Austin. The people there are SO wonderful!
2. Which local hot spot do you visit to be #auspired? . Dang, ALL the shops in @eastaustin! I think there's a really wonderful community over there! My work is @thepapercraftpantry as well as the newly opening EA/ST Co. on Cesar Chavez. I also really love the work + product curation at @takeheartshop , @olive_austin , and @sonofasailor. They're all such different shops with unique voices running them!
3. What is your fave ATX treat to beat the heat? . Ahhh, I really really love the food + organic white wine at @eatflowerchild! We have one in Dallas but it's not close enough. Major sad face. But if you're looking for something a little unothodox, I recently had the gnocchi a @thehightoweraustin on East 7th. IT WAS AMAZING. I'm gonna have to grab it every time i'm in town -- it's so good.
